RMC members turned out to support the Basking Ridge Indian Community's Dandiya night at Ridge High School, a joyful evening of traditional Gujarati dance.
The Basking Ridge Indian Community’s Dandiya night fills the Ridge High School gym with colour, drums, and dancing circles. The Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee was a proud sponsor of the October 2024 celebration, and committee members came out to support it in person.
Dandiya and Garba are traditional dances from Gujarat performed during Navratri. BRIC opens the night to the whole township.
Why it matters
Supporting BRIC’s events is part of a long relationship between the committee and the township’s Indian American community, built on showing up year after year, not just at election time.
